How do you start your morning? Give us a play by play-- time you get up, 3-5 things you do to start your day.
1) I wake up around 5:30 without an alarm.
2) Cuddle with my dog, Naso, who likes to take over the bed at night. Yes, I'm that person who lets their dog sleep in bed with them :)
3) Move my tech back into my home office down the hall (which is my kids room who is a freshman in college) I'm trying but failing to get my tech out of my bedroom at night, it's a work in progress.
4) Drink water then shower.
5) Walk the dog
6) Settle in for my writing time block, I always start the workday writing.
What advice do you have for other female entrepreneurs looking to create healthier and invigorating morning routines and habits?
Look at, hug, and smile at something or someone you love before you start your work day. Just petting my dog in the morning or looking at my kid sleeping when they are home centers me and sets my priorities straight. It a form of gratitude for me.
What are some of your favorite leisure activities?
Walking the dog. Reading in front of the fire (when it is cold) or on my stoop (when it's warm). Urban hiking - exploring new pockets of my city or other towns and cities. Writing at a coffee shop early in the morning without anything else on my to-do list afterward.
Share a favorite affirmation that other female entrepreneurs could benefit from.
I am worthy because I am here. I matter because I am here. I belong and I love you as you are.
