We learned Product the hard way and are dedicated to helping every one learn from our mistakes so that they can avoid common pitfalls in the industry. How do you start your morning? Give us a play by play-- time you get up, 3-5 things you do to start your day.I’ve finally built a schedule and life around embracing that I enjoy slower paced mornings. As many mornings as possible, I try to wake up naturally without an alarm - usually around 7:30 or 8:00. It never fails that I start my day with checking my calendar & email to confirm when I need to be present in front of my computer. Then it’s off to make my coffee or tea and get dressed for the day. When I finally settle into my desk, I’m planning out my must tackle items & setting intentions for the day with writing 3 dreams. I created a custom planner that includes the 3 dreams in every day. It helps me to never feel lost in what I’m fighting for. What advice do you have for other female entrepreneurs looking to create healthier and invigorating morning routines and habits?Don't be afraid to make space for yourself. I spent the beginning years of my adulthood always feeling like I had to care for others and that meant there is no space for my self-care. Instead I have found making space for my self-care and rejuvenation activities actually allow me to show up in a more intentional and present way for my loved ones around me. What are some of your favorite leisure activities?Riding my bike around town on a sunny day, Listening to music that makes me dance, Putting my feet on the ground outside, Renovating my home to release my creative brain. Welcome to the Ladies of Leisure series, where we feature inspiring women and their stories of success, wellness and leisure. Through these interviews, we hope to gain insights into the lives of these amazing women and the tips and tricks they use to live a balanced and fulfilling life. We'll also look at their morning routines, advice they have for other female entrepreneurs and their favorite way to spend leisure time. We are honored to introduce you to some of the leading ladies in their fields and hope you find their stories as inspiring as we do.Meet Tracy Memoli, the founder of FrutaPOP, a gourmet ice pop company where she works with some of the biggest names in Wine and Spirits. Tracy was working as a publicist in the corporate PR world and left her job to pursue her passion in the food and beverage industry. She always loved frozen cocktails, but they were filled with a lot of sugar and bad ingredients, and she was shocked that a healthier option didn’t exist, and she wanted to change that. Together, with her life-long love for ice pops, she set out to create gourmet, low alcohol-infused ice pops without any added sugars, syrups or dyes. Today, Tracy work's with some of the world’s largest brands, hotels, restaurants and top chefs to create specialty alcohol-infused ice pop flavors. What is your company and what do you do? FrutaPOP, the makers of the world’s finest gourmet, alcohol-infused ice pop is reinventing the ice pop, a product that hasn’t seen an innovation in the last 70 years. FrutaPOP is the first of its kind to contain natural ingredients without any added sugars, syrups or dyes. When we started the business in 2017, FrutaPOP created an entirely new product category in the food and beverage industry by offering consumers gourmet, alcohol-infused ice pops, under 5% ABV (alcohol by volume). FrutaPOP is constantly innovating and creating new flavors and products. FrutaPOP also offers non-alcoholic mocktail ice pops and just launched Negative Ice, the world’s first prebiotic ice pop. How do you start your morning? Give us a play by play-- time you get up, 3-5 things you do to start your day. My morning routine is the most important part of my day, it sets the tone for the rest of my day and it allows me to start the day with a clear mind, ready to handle whatever the day throws at me - and as an entrepreneur - no two days are the same and I have to be ready for anything. I always start my day with a morning meditation. Then I spend time with my dog Kingsley, belly rubs, love and then a morning walk. When I get home, I have a cup of tea and I sit down in a quiet corner of my apartment and journal. Right now, I’m loving Picnic In the Park tea, I’ll either have it hot or I’ll make an iced tea. The journal I’m using now is the Future Self Journal, which has daily prompts like: what are you grateful for and what actions will you take to grow into your future self and each month they have a self-care check in so you can track your growth and emotional well-being. I love the accountability and the fact that you can actually visualize your growth each month. Next, I’ll have a light breakfast, starting with our prebiotic ice pops and then my morning workout. Some days, I’ll roll out my yoga mat and do a combination of low impact yoga and stretching. I also recently started working out with a personal trainer, 3 times a week, so I’ll alternate from the gym to yoga – I like to switch up my workout routine, so I don’t get bored. What advice do you have for other female entrepreneurs looking to create healthier and invigorating morning routines and habits? If you want to create a healthy morning routine, start small and add on from there. It may be a morning 5-minute meditation 1-3x a week, gradually you can increase the number of days to 7x a week and then increase the length of the meditation to 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes. Starting small can really help you stick to it and eventually it will change your perspective of I have to do this to I get to do this. What are some of your favorite leisure activities? I’m a foodie, so I always love trying new restaurants. I also love to travel and love exploring new places. When I’m not traveling or trying new restaurants, I’m usually home cooking or spending time with family, friends and my dog Kingsley. Share a favorite affirmation that other female entrepreneurs could benefit from. I am exactly where I need to be. Everything works out as it should. This really helps me get out of my head and shift my perspective. *For 15% off FrutaPOP please use the code LADIESOFLEISURE

We are honored to introduce you to some of the leading ladies in their fields and hope you find their stories as inspiring as we do.Meet Rita Hickman, a women's narcissist recovery coach. She helps women who are navigating toxic relationships become their authentic selves by coaching by helping them to reverse old trauma and be more focused and personally successful. She became a body/mind healer to reverse her own childhood traumas and after 20+ years she knows all the secrets to help empower women to break out of their fight/flight response and have more money, love and respect. What is your company and what do you do? I help women go through difficult transitions in their life with grace, strength and self-compassion, never abandoning what is best for their well-being and learning how to love themselves first. How do you start your morning? Give us a play by play-- time you get up, 3-5 things you do to start your day. I wake up naturally between 5:30 and 6 am. I spend an hour reviewing my day in my head, visualizing what to expect and creating a time line and action plan. After a routine of shower with goat milk soap and a loofah. (handmade with my mother and sister) and a morning green drink I doctor to taste like hot buttered apple cider. I put on a super soft alpaca sweater and socks and I'm off to my studio around 7:30 am. At my studio, I set my work lights for the color therapy of the day (remote control light bulbs with 18 colors) and look over a checklist of my quarterly intentions, (like stay hydrated, save for retirement, nurture my relationships, create community outreach and win the Nobel Peace Prize - which is a lifelong dream). After I set the lights, turn on a concert speaker system and decide what to meditate on, I take 5 minutes to write a Y for yes next to each intention on my checklist, reaffirming my dedication and getting my brain prepped to unplug and do it's meditation magic. I spend 90 minutes meditating by laying on my shiatsu floor futon using brainwave entrainment music, color therapy, aromatherapy, a library of autobiographies and acupressure balls. This is a deep trance state that I use to kickstart my body/mind's natural healing and growing process. When finished around 10am, my official work day starts. What advice do you have for other female entrepreneurs looking to create healthier and invigorating morning routines and habits? Spend time getting clear on what you want (peace, happiness, personal success) and letting go of what you don't want (destructive anger, frustration, worry, helplessness, heartbreak or toxic relationship patterns) What are some of your favorite leisure activities? Meditating. Walking down my country road. Talking to the trees. Spending time with my mother, sister, father, husband, family and friends. Having interesting conversations with interesting people. Gardening. Lighting sacred fires. Re-training my brain to let go and enjoy life. Share a favorite affirmation that other female entrepreneurs could benefit from. I am the beloved. The beloved is me.
